Old Haleiwa Town – Oahu

Old Haleiwa Town is located on the North Shore of Oahu. This lovely and quaint little town is part of the area of Oahu (North Shore) that is considered by many to be the surfing capital of the world. This is because you will find world famous beaches such a Sunset and Pipeline in the area. The area was first formed way back in the early 1900s as a sugar plantation area and has now morphed into one of the best spots to visit on Oahu.

There is no shortage of shopping and activities in and around the Old Haleiwa Town area. There are numerous little boutiques and “ma and pa” shops, all of which bring their own little style to the area. While you will have to stand in line to get it, the wait is totally worth it, as it will be like nothing else you have ever tasted.

Getting to Old Haleiwa Town and the surrounding area is a must for all first time visitors. There is so much to see and do, and there is so much culture. You can spend days in the area and still not experience everything. However, make sure you set a day aside to hit the beach, walk around Old Haleiwa Town, eat some great food, and really experience everything that the area is about.
